Captain Matt Hockema. is retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after serving 21 years. He has over 20 years of experience fishing in Alaska. He is an avid fisherman and hunter and loves to share that enthusiasm with others. Originally from Oregon, he began fishing with his dad at the age of 4. He has sport fished and operated his own commercial fishing boat. Matt currently holds a 100 ton masters license and when not operating charters on the Coastal Predator he works at the Homer Boat Yard.
